Tônus muscular e etapas motoras de crianças com Síndrome congênita do zika vírus: estudo de Coorte.

Abstract

Objective: To evaluate the development of motor stages and muscle tone in children diagnosed with Congenital Zika Virus Syndrome (SCZV) at 3 years of age and to compare the variations of these results with retrospective findings at 6 months, 1 and 2 years. Methods: This is a cross-sectional, observational, descriptive and outpatient study, conducted at the Specialized Center for Rehabilitation (CER IV) of the Institute of Integral Medicine Prof. Fernando Figueira (IMIP), in Recife - PE. We used information from the research group's database regarding the children evaluated at the ages of 6 months, 1 and 2 years, and a reassessment of them at the age of 3 years, covering muscle tone and motor stages. Results: The sample consisted of 6 children, 66.7% female and all born at term. They raised their heads momentarily from prone, turned towards voice or sound, fixed and accompanied objects (83.3%), in puppy, they extended cervical (50.0%), rolled from supine to prone (33.3%), raised by the arms, helped with the body, held and transferred objects from hands, brought food to the mouth, crawled and sat without support (16.7%). None walked independently. All had upper and lower limb and trunk hypertonia, presented normal tone (16.7%) and hypotonia (83.3%). Conclusion: In view of all the results obtained through this research, we conclude that there is a considerable delay in the developmental milestones in general, which would be expected for such pathology, based on the existing literature.
