Avaliação das propriedades de medida da versão em português do “International Consultation on Incontinence Questionnaire Female Sexual Matters Associated with Lower Urinary Tract Symptoms Module” (ICIQ-FLUTSsex)

Abstract

OBJECTIVE: To evaluate the properties and provide the Portuguese version of the International Consultation on Incontinence Questionnaire Female Sexual Matters Associated with Lower Urinary Tract Symptoms Module (ICIQ-FLUTSsex). METHODS: A validation study was carried out by means of questionnaires in 56 women, all over 18 years of age, who had sexual intercourse and had urinary incontinence, excluding those who had their last infection in the last 6 months. Three questionnaires were used for collection, one for personal identification; the International Consultation on Incontinence Questionnaire - Short Form (ICIQ-SF) and ICIQFLUTSsex. Data analysis using the SPSS-Statitical Package for the Social Sciences. To verify the conformity of the items contained in the questionnaire, the Cronbach's alpha was used and the Kappa coefficient was used to evaluate the agreement between the questionnaire applied in the test-retest. RESULTS: mean age was 49.1 years (SD 11.668), brown (42.9%) and married (71.4%), presenting with urinary incontinence, with a higher prevalence of mixed urinary incontinence (60.7 %). The result of Cronbach's Alpha was 0.806, born good. The Kappa value was moderate, ranging from 0.441 to 0.596. CONCLUSION: A version of the ICIQ-FLUTsex in Portuguese is available to be used as a further evaluation instrument in women with alterations, but an evaluation of other dimensions of the development strategy should be addressed in future studies.
