Abstract: Objectives: the present study aims to analyze the socio-demographic, economic, academic and professional profile of the graduates of the first two classes from Faculdade Pernambucana de Saúde (FPS). Methods: a cross-sectional Survey study was conducted through an online questionnaire which was sent to the participants via electronic mail. The population of the study consisted of the 239 graduates of the first two classes from FPS. Results: Among 239 graduates, 135 (56,48%) answered the questionnaire. The majority of graduates were women (61,48), married or in a common-law marriage (62,22%) and aged between 26 and 29 years old (57,77%). Approximately 34% of the graduates earned from 11 to 22 minimum wages. The percentage of physicians who did a Medical Residency program was 71,85%. There was a statistically significant correlation between participating on research activities during graduation and pursuing a stricto sensu graduate degree. About 60% of the graduates claimed that the Problem Based Learning methodology had a positive impact on their professional lives. More than half of the physicians (70,37%) think their professional prospects were achieved Conclusion: most physicians who graduated from FPS did a Medical Residency program, are currenty well-adapted to the job market, work for the public health system and perceive the practice of Medicine as a gratifying experience.
