Abstract: Introduction: The Chronic kidney desease (CKD) and the hemodialysis (HD) cause changes in nutricional status on patientes associated with high morbidity and life limiting conditions on a daily bases routine that impacts emotionally, Interfering at the quality of life. Methods: Cross-study, with 53 patients in HD, both sexes, age between 20 and 60 years, subjected to anthropometric evaluation and quality of life. Measures of weight, height, bodymass index (BMI), brachial circumference (CB), tríceps cutaneous fold (DCT), muscular circumference of the arm (CMB), abdominal circumference (CC) and manual hold force (FPM) were carried out. For the evaluation of the quality of life, the questionnaire KDQOL-SFTM 1.3 was used. Results: Most patients showed excesso weight according to BMI and cardiovascular riska ccording to CC. A high percentage of malnutrition was observed according to CB (47, 2%), DCT (41, 5%), CMB (39, 6%) and muscle weakness according to FPM (88, 7%). Differentials with worse level so quality of life outside “Work status “, “limitation”, “Physical compound”, “mental compound ", "general health " and "kidney disease burden ". The elevation of the CC was associated with the worsening of the quality of life. Conclusion: Although most patients presente excesso weight and abdominal fat, a loss of muscle mass and peripheral fat has occurred, suggesting that these patients presente sarcopênica obesity. CC's high values are associated with increased risk of cardiovascular disease development and a decrease in quality of life.
