dc.description.abstractObjetivo: Avaliar a Disfunção Erétil de pacientes com lesão medular por causa traumática, e descrever com o nível de lesão neurológico. Materiais e Métodos: Consiste em um estudo transversal descritivo, realizado no Centro de Reabilitação e Medicina Física Professor Ruy Neves Baptista do Instituto de Medicina Integral de Pernambuco Prof. Fernando Figueira, entre janeiro de 2016 a outubro de 2016. O estudo será realizado em uma sala reservada, onde será feito uma avaliação e em seguida, foi aplicado o protocolo de avaliação desenvolvido pela American Spinal Injury Association (ASIA). Logo após, foi aplicado o (IIFE) Índice Internacional de Função Erétil. Foi realizada apenas uma sessão. No final foi descrita a disfunção dos pacientes com o nível de lesão. Resultados: Dos 19 pacientes a etiologia predominante foi ferimento por arma de fogo (31,5%). Dos pacientes avaliados, nível de lesão neurológico acima de T11 68,4% foi o que predominou. De acordo com o questionário do IIFE, a média do escore total foi de 41,68 ± 20,95. Houve diferença estatisticamente significativa associada à relação sexual no último mês com o escore total do IIFE. Conclusão: Esse estudo descreve o perfil da disfunção erétil em pacientes com lesão medular. Percebe-se que a reabilitação motora é mais focada, onde a reabilitação sexual é pouco abordada.pt_BR

Materials and Methods: It consists of a descriptive cross-sectional study, carried out at the Center for Rehabilitation and Physical Medicine Professor Ruy Neves Baptista of the Institute of Integral Medicine of Pernambuco Prof. Fernando Figueira, from January 2016 to October 2016. The study will be conducted in a reserved room, where an evaluation will be done and then the evaluation protocol developed by the American Spinal Injury Association (ASIA) will be applied. Soon after, the (IIFE) International Index of Erectile Function was applied. Only one session was held. At the end, the dysfunction of the patients with the lesion level was described. Results: Of the 19 patients, the predominant etiology was firearm injury (31.5%). Of the patients assessed level of neurological damage above T11 68.4% was predominant. According to the IIFE questionnaire, the mean of the total score was 41.68 ± 20.95. There was a statistically significant difference associated with sexual intercourse in the last month with the total IIFE score. Conclusion: This study describes the profile of erectile dysfunction in patients with spinal cord injury. It is noticed that the motor rehabilitation is more focused, where the sexual rehabilitation is little approached.pt_BR
