Resumo: Introduction: The acute lymphoblastic leukemia is a type of hematologic neoplasia with a high mortality rate, resulting from the proliferation, accumulation and infiltration of immature cells in the bone marrow. Several factors in this population lead to generalized weakness and reduction of functional capacity, resulting in a lower quality of life due to the limitation of functional mobility and promoting physical deconditioning. Objective: To assess the functional capacity profile and quality of life of the adults survivors of ALL in outpatient follow-up. Methods: Descriptive, observational study of a series of cases, approved by the Comittee of Ethics in Research with Human Beings of the Hematology and Hemotherapy Foundation of Pernambuco. Adults with ALL were included and those with diagnosis of chronic lung disease and neuromuscular diseases were excluded. Quality of life assessment Washington performer by the European Organization for Research and Treatment of Cancer Quality of Life Questionnaire, and the 6-minutes walk test Washington performed to assess functional performance. Results: 8 cases of ALL were evaluated, in which a decline in functional capacity was observed through a shorter distance walked. Regarding quality of life (QoL), the averages indicated little loss in the global QoL. The individual average of the functional scales tends to values with reduction in their functionalities. The fatigue and insomnia symptoms were the most cited in the reported cases. Conclusão: The most affected QoL domains were physical and social function, insomnia, fatigue and financial difficulties, as well as a negative impact with physical limitations revealed by a shorter distance walked. The limitation of the number of sampling will be reduced with the continuity of the evaluations, since this work is a part of a broader research.
