Título: Recém nascidos de mães com diagnóstico de sífilis no momento do parto acompanhados no ambulatório de egresso do Instituto de Medicina Integral Professor Fernando Figueira: uma série de casos.

Resumo: OBJECTIVE: To describe a series of cases of newborns of mothers who had Sífilis diagnosis on admission date to identify the maternal characteristics, aspects related to the investigation of pregnant women during prenatal care, and the characteristics and laboratory investigation of the newborn. METHOD: Conducted study of case series in the internal neonatal unit of IMIP, located in the city of Recife - PE during the period July 2015 to September 2016. The study population consisted of infants born to mothers who had diagnosis of syphilis on admission to the maternity and who were enrolled in the clinic of the graduates of internal neonatal unit of IMIP and born between January 2010 to December 2015. data collection was performed using form structure based nasdas chips following the clinic and complemented with hospital records. RESULTS: Most of these women was coming from Recife and metropolitan region and were nafaixa-age between 21 and 35 years. Regarding the level of education, only 2.4% did not have any schooling and 44.2% reported having 4 to 7 years of completed studies. Prenatal care was identified in 86.9% of pregnant women and of these, 11.7% had at least 3 visits and most of these women held more than 6 queries. Of pregnant women 6.3% were positive for HIV / AIDS, 21.1% had abortion history and 68.9% were primiparous. It was observed that 65% of pregnant patients VDRL during prenatal being negative only one. The partner of treatment was observed in 20.3% pregnant women and 21.8% was not performed. Normal delivery was observed in 61%; 55.4% were term and 31.1% had low birth weight. It was observed that 51.1% of newborns had positive VDRL, and 7 demonstrated positive VDRL in cerebrospinal fluid. Radiology of long bones showed changes in only 1% of newborns. The average length of hospital stay was approximately 11.7 days. CONCLUSION: The epidemiological importance, a number of cases of pregnant women diagnosed with syphilis in pregnancy and their newborns may help to evaluate the care given to these patients, and the degree of compliance with established routines for this accompaniment. A observation gaps in prenatal care in relation to screening and infection accompaniment this corroborate previous findings.
